I don’t feel rainy days are particularly gloomy.
Sure, the sky is colorless. The air will be damp and cold.
But is the grass ever greener than after a rain shower?
The trees and grass take on a vibrant, bright hue. Suddenly the patches of vegetation between houses and streets looks like minature gardens. Rain makes the sidewalks and houses themselves a darker, more intense color, which perfectly offsets the violently green-green of plant life.
And rain is the perfect weather for bright, clean plastic rain boots and rain coats. And a crowded street with umbrellas is an art museum coming outside.
