Daily Life in Korea 10

I took a taxi to work this morning.  The taxi driver asked if I was American.  Then he told me, “Before. American. Mulgeum.”  At the time, I thought he was saying I rode in his taxi before, but I think he just meant that he had another American ride in his taxi in Mulgeum.

He told me he knew Americans and Brits speak differently.  And he told me English was hard.  And he gave me a lemon candy.  And then he showed me his apartment building (of course, it is right across from my workplace).  And I asked if he was married and he said he was separated and so I literally jumped out of the taxi.
